Friday June 14:
5:30pm: Meet at Greg Freeman Park at Four Corners (Kingsbury & Des Peres)
7:00pm: Set design talk by Andy Cross (at our seating area in Forest Park)
8:00pm: Show begins
Come join us for a night out at Shakespeare in Forest Park, St. Louis’s only free, outdoor professional theater. Enjoy a nice walk through the park (or bike!), bring a picnic or buy some food, and share a lovely summer evening with your neighbors!
We’ll meet up at 5:3opm at Greg Freeman Park at Four Corners (Kingsbury & Des Peres) to walk/bike together to “Shakespeare Glen” in Forest Park. At 7pm, Skinker DeBaliviere resident Andy Cross will give us a special talk about the creation and production of the set for this year’s show, Twelfth Night, including a 20-foot tall hand-carved moon. Andy is a veteran set painter/scenic artist who is now in his 4th year working at Shakespeare in Forest Park and his 30th year painting sets for the Muny. The show will begin at 8pm.
To RSVP, please contact Liz at firstname.lastname@example.org or 314-862-5122. (No RSVP necessary to attend, but it would help us to get an idea of who is coming. 🙂 We’d like to send a few people ahead to reserve some lawn space for our group, so if you’d be able to help with that, let us know!
