More than 60 people attended the final public meeting for the Skinker DeBaliviere Urban Design & Development Plan (aka, the master plan). This was the 5th and final public meeting in a planning process that began at the end of 2012. H3 Studio presented the final draft of the neighborhood master plan and took questions. Attendees also participated in a keypad polling exercise that identified their sustainability priorities for the neighborhood. Thank you to Grace United Methodist Church (particularly Gary, Tracey & Rev. Yolanda) for generously hosting us in their community room. H3’s PowerPoint presentation is available to download from our Planning Initiatives page.
The final plan is expected to be complete in Spring 2014, and we will share it here when it is ready. But we are not waiting to begin acting on the ideas that came out of the planning process. Des Peres Avenue will see a lot of activity this year:
- Better Block Project
- Bike St. Louis
- Wabash Station Visioning Session
Thank you to everyone who has participated in the master planning process and shared your ideas, thoughts and concerns with us!
