The next generation of designers are primed to tackle the Tempest. See how our young artists have visually interpreted this mystical mystery masterpiece through set, costume and graphic designs. Youth ages 10-17 years participated in a two-part visual art workshop, taking inspiration from Shakespeare’s The Tempest, culminating in this exhibit. This art experience is an official SHAKE 38 event put on in collaboration with the Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis.

This modern language adaptation is an “audio play” that keeps its universal themes of forgiveness and independence. At the same time, it adds a twist of science-fiction, goof-ball comedy, and music for all ages. Participants include students from
Giant Steps School for Autism, Alexian Brothers Assisted Living facility, and professional actors.
A SHAKE 38 event, sponsored in part by SDCC and Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, with generous donations from Pi Pizzeria and Tavolo V.
