SDCC hosts a (1) variety of social activities that promote resident interaction and inclusion, primarily with arts as the focal point, (2) some direct service programs, (3) facilitates reviews of commercial and physical development activities in the Skinker DeBaliviere Neighborhood and (4) coordinates with public servants to identify, monitor and remedy issues related to crime, traffic, public green space and compliance with a variety of local ordinances.
